Robert Floyd Whitaker

Robert Floyd Whitaker, age 83, of Loma Linda, California passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Robert was born July 31, 1938 in Pomona, California to Charles and Fay Frye Whitaker. Robert grew up in Ontario attending local schools and graduating from Chaffey High School. In November 1959 he married Barbara Norma Servetti, and raised two children with her. After the passing of his wife Barbara he met Marsha Marcotte who became his long time partner in life. He had a career as a truck mechanic for 36 years working graveyard shift. During his leisure time Robert enjoyed doing yardwork, taking road trips and family vacations as well as tinkering with cars. He enjoyed the country genre music of George Jones and Conway Twitty among other country artists.

Robert has joined all his friends and relatives who passed before him and leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Christine (Harvey) Burke and son,Steve (Dorothy) Whitaker, as well as 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762. A mausoleum chapel service will occur Monday, July 25, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W. G Street, Ontario, CA 91762. An entombment will occur Monday, July 25, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W. G St., Ontario, CA 91762.
