

Sabina Fernandes, 59, passed away on January 22, 2025 after a short and difficult battle with cancer. As a loving mother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, her life was a testament to faith, family, and love.
Sabina was born on September 20, 1965 in Karachi, Pakistan to Romana and Ignatius Dias. She attended St. Joseph’s school in Karachi and completed her bachelor’s degree at St. Patrick’s College in Saddar. She immigrated to America in July 1995 to begin a new life.
In February 1996, she married Denzil Fernandes, who would be her beloved husband for 28 long and loving years during which they had two children, Joshua and Claudia. She was a parishioner at St. John the XXIII in Rialto. Her devotion to her family and faith can be seen throughout her entire life. Sabina started her career at Social Security in September 2003 where she dedicated 21 years of service too.
She is survived by her husband, Denzil, and their two kids, Joshua and Claudia, as well as her mother, Romana, and three brothers, Peter, Anthony, and Cyril.
Sabina was a compassionate, selfless and resilient woman who will be missed by many. She was a blessing and joy to everyone she met, but now she rests peacefully in Heaven.
