Born on December 20, 1938 in Yucatán, Mexico, Santiago filled every year of his life with warmth, humor, and devotion.
Santiago had a vibrant spirit. He loved dancing, singing rancheras with a full heart, and following his favorite sport, baseball. He enjoyed relaxing with the shows Caso Cerrado and Betty la Fea, which never failed to make him smile. One of his greatest joys was visiting Watsonville, California, where he cherished time spent with his family.
A talented cook and baker, Santiago was especially known for his menudo, which brought the family together countless times. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he remained involved in his church community, offering kindness and service wherever he could.
To his family, Santiago will always be remembered as a responsible, valiant, virtuous, and playful soul. His legacy lives on in the love he shared, the meals he prepared, the songs he sang, and the values he passed down.
