It is with deep sorrow and even greater love, we announce the sudden passing of our father Thomas Michael Gomez. Mostly known by everyone who had the pleasure of seeing his big happy smile Tom, passed away at the age of 55, suddenly on May 9th 2026. Tom lived life fully on his own terms and was surrounded by the people who loved him the most when he left this world. He is survived by his children Michael Gomez, Selena Gomez-Gracia and his little mini me as he called her Mallorie Gracia and his partner Kristeen Miguel and his father Leo and big brother Tim Gomez and nieces. But he was not alone when he went to heaven as he was greeted by his mother Susan Gomez and his beloved wife Sandra “Sandy” Gracia.
Being born and raised in Ontario, Tom was always someone who helped everyone no matter if he knew them or not. He would always be there if someone needed something or if he thought they needed the help even if they didn’t ask, he was always there. You may have heard him before you saw him as his voice and laughter was louder and bigger than he was. Having worked for the Ontario-Montclair School District for 27 years you probably saw him working or walking around with his signature blue Mickey Mouse backpack decked out in his favorite pins from Disneyland, playing music on his little speaker or listening to music on his earbuds smiling or whistling. He always said to help out anyone as often as you can because you never know what they may need or going through. He always saw the good in life, even when life seemed so unfair. He was always there doing the little things that no one would notice or being there while a sick loved one was in the hospital. He wouldn’t leave their side. That’s who he was. He was always there when it mattered most. With his big smile and silly faces. Tom was a character in his own right in this world and left an impact on so many lives. A life lived beautifully deserves to be beautifully remembered.
We ask you join us in giving him one last celebration on June 12th, 2026 from 1:00pm - 2:00 pm at Draper Mortuary 811 N Mountain Ave Ontario, CA 91762 for a celebration of life.
