Victor “Vic” Louis Danzo, of Rancho Cucamonga, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who departed this world on January 27, 2022. Vic was born April 25, 1937 in Loma Linda, CA to Victorio and Madalena “Nellie” Danzo. He was their only child. Vic spent his early life in Guasti and attended St. George Parish School in Ontario. The accordion was a big part of Vic’s younger life. He played for Casa Colina Hospital, Casaletti Polka Palace and he played every Saturday on an Ontario Radio Station. He graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario in 1955 and later attending Chaffey Jr. College, graduating in 1959. Vic spent time serving his country as a Navy Seebee and went on to earn a degree in Finance from Cal Poly Pomona in 1965.
In 1960, Vic married the love of his life, Sandra Paige. After their honeymoon, they settled in Guasti.
They later moved to Upland and eventually ended up in Cucamonga (1967) where they raised their family and lived for the past 55 years. Vic and Sandy celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in June, 2020, however Sandy passed away 6 months later. Vic and Sandy raised 3 sons in Rancho Cucamonga. When their children were young, Vic and Sandy enjoyed vacationing with family and friends, spending many summers waterskiing in Lake Kaweah. Vic worked for Southern California Edison, Rosemead, in the Finance Department for 32 years. He moved the family to Paradise CA for a short period of time, although he returned to Cucamonga shortly thereafter to continue his career with Edison. After retiring from Edison, he spent his free time relaxing in Cabo San Lucas, on the beach in San Clemente, enjoying the “million dollar view” from his deck at Lake Havasu Springs Resort, and tending to the geraniums in the backyard. You always knew when Vic was home, as the polka music could be heard all over the neighborhood. He also spent quite a bit of his free time polka dancing at the Slovene Hall. If you needed to find Vic on any Sunday race day during the NASCAR season, you could be sure to find him in front of a TV watching his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick. Vic is survived by his three sons, Mark Danzo (Carrie) of Irvine, Greg Danzo of San Bernardino and Victor Danzo (Gina) of Peoria, AZ. He is also survived by his seven grandchilden: Nicholas Danzo, Kyle Danzo (Kelley), Calli Danzo, Alexis Raha (Carter), Tyler Danzo, Nathan Danzo and Dominic Danzo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy, and his parents, Victorio and Madalena Danzo.
There will be a viewing on Monday, March 7th at 11:00am, followed by a private interment. Draper Mortuary will be handling the arrangements.
