William Smith Jr.

William graduated from El Cerrito High School. After graduation he joined the Navy, where he was a great basketball player. He married his high school sweetheart Joanna Walker on June 15, 1958 and to this union three sons were born.

William moved his family to Los Angeles, CA. He became an accountant for the state of California for 30 years. He was also an associate with CSEA.

William loved his sports, he was an avid bowler and he loved planning trips with his family.

William leaves to mourn his loving wife Joanna Smith, his sons Shea Bernard Smith (life partner Jimmy Raynor), Derrick Wayne Smith (who preceded him in death), and Gary Dehon Smith, his sisters Margene Gray & Fannie Gibson, brothers Hobert Smith (Rochelle) & Randy Smith (Beverley), sisters Angela Olden and Rosalyn Tucker, 2 grandsons Derrick Smith & Durrell Smith (Lete), 7 great grandchildren (Naomi, Jeremiah, Laila, Mya, Jordan, Sarai, and Ezra), 2 sisters-in-law Frieda Walker & Johnni Mae Walker, and a host of nieces & nephews.
