Dawn Michelle Kirkpatrick, age 52, of Mansfield passed away Tuesday morning, August 19, 2025, at James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after a 2-year battle against cancer. Dawn was a Christian woman and has now entered into God’s loving care.
She was born on December 19, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Ashland High School. Dawn loved her job at Enman Stamping where she worked for many years. She had great respect for the company as well as her fellow co-workers and considered them all friends. Dawn loved her cats and considered them additional children to her. She enjoyed adult coloring books and spoiling her family.
Dawn was a very loving person with a big heart who enjoyed time with her family and playing with her grandchildren. Her smile lit up a room and she made everyone around her feel important and valued. She was outgoing and enjoyed being out in the community and visiting her friends whenever possible. Dawn will be remembered as a selfless, courageous woman who persevered through all life’s challenges. Her memory will be treasured by her family and friends.
Dawn is survived by her mother, Terri Kirkpatrick; two children, Nicole (David) Vore and Justin Kirkpatrick; two grandchildren, Kevin and Mikey Vore; three siblings, Jesse Kilgore, Treesa Kilgore and Lisa Crank; and family friend, Sarah Stentz.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her grandchildren’s college fund in care of the family.
