Born April 18, 1943, in Parma, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Ruth (Drachenberg) Anthony. Judy was a longtime teacher at Madison Eastview Elementary School where she was a faculty member of the Student Council. A strong believer in the principles and benefits of the YWCA, she was a Past President and advocate for many years.
Judy loved gardening and canning her produce and grew the most beautiful flowers. She was an avid reader and enthusiastically shared whatever she was reading with her siblings. She was a true fan of the Cleveland sports teams, OSU Buckeyes and Duke Blue Devils. Judy shared an amazing, loving life with her husband, Jack, and they immensely enjoyed traveling together.
She is survived by two children, Kevin (Hetti-Marie) Jacobs and Jennifer (Aaron) Croskey; six grandchildren, Anna Jacobs, Josh Jacobs, Noelle Barroll, Bronwyn Barroll, Kenneth Barroll and Tyler (Abby) Croskey; three siblings, Paul Anthony, Jeff (Linda Rando) Anthony and Susie (Jim) Sima; and many cherished family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Jacobs; and sister, Cheryl Burnett.
The family will greet guests from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
