

Born on January 2, 1983, in Millersburg, Ohio, Melissa was the cherished daughter of Brenda (Pruett), Adam Kiss and Craig Snyder. A loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Melissa’s vibrant spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Melissa was a talented musician with a passion for both the flute and piano, playing with grace and dedication. Her love for the arts extended beyond music, as she also excelled in athletics, playing volleyball and running track during her high school years. A proud graduate of West Holmes High School, Class of 2001, Melissa continued to embrace life with an infectious energy and enthusiasm.
Known for her love of all things pink, Melissa had a flair for fashion and enjoyed spending time perfecting her hair and makeup. She was an outgoing soul who took pleasure in the simple joys of life, particularly when surrounded by those she loved.
Melissa worked as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at various facilities, most notably at Wayne County Care Center, where she cared deeply for the residents she served. Her kindness, compassion, and nurturing spirit made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered in her career.
In her free time, Melissa loved creating memories with her family and friends. She enjoyed visiting the lake, marveling at lighthouses, and exploring the beauty of Niagara Falls. She cherished moments spent with her daughter, Alyssa, just driving around. Above all, her favorite moments were spent with her children, Alyssa and Adrian.
Melissa is survived by her daughter, Alyssa Fry; her son, Adrian Snyder; her mother, Brenda (Adam) Kiss; her father, Craig Snyder; her sisters, Sarah Snyder and Kristina Snyder; her brother, David Snyder; her grandmother, Joyce Ashby; her grandfather, Thurman Pruett; two nieces, Isabelle Jackson and Keirra Snyder; a grandniece, Zoey; her uncles, Ron (Jen) Ashby and Kevin Pruett; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Victor and Mosella Snyder; and her uncles, Richard Ashby and Michael Ashby.
Family and friends will gather for visitation Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 12:00 PM at 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Dallas Waggle will follow at 1:00 PM. There will be a graveside service at Killbuck Cemetery Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
