Robert John Boudinot, 67, passed away on October 19, 2025 from a long term illness at Tri Point Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio. He was born in Painesville, Ohio in 1958 to Lester M. Boudinot and Greta Aho Boudinot.
Robert was a 1976 graduate from Mentor High School. Following in his father’s footsteps he became a remarkably skilled welder and worked as a fabricator by trade for years. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t build, fix, or rework.
Rob, as he was called, had a passion for music. He became an accomplished guitarist, song writer, and singer. He was one third of the original three members of the local Silver String Band and played many years with them. He was enthusiastic about his motorcycles and loved riding with friends for hours.
He had a witty personality, enjoyed life…and lived it on his own terms.
Rob was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lester and Greta Boudinot, (sister) Leslye Vereshack, and (brother) Wayne Boudinot.
A beloved brother, he leaves behind his two sisters, Shirley (Danny) Stallings and Carolyn (Mike) Minadeo who will miss him so. He also leaves behind five nephews, Troy Vereshack, Cy Vereshack, Kevin Stallings, Michael Minadeo, Joseph Minadeo, and one niece, Amanda (David) Dugan and three great nephews, Mason Vereshack, Lucas Erickson, and Sawyer Erickson. He also leaves behind a dear family friend, Katy Lumme Silverman.
A Memorial in his honor will be held at a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
