Shirley (Emmil) Burggraf, age 80, passed away at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on Thursday, April 10, 2025. She joined her beloved husband of 58 years, David Burggraf, who passed away on December 24, 2025.
Shirley was born January 15, 1945, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late Leo and Lena Emmil. She graduated from Madison Senior High in Mansfield. She worked several different jobs including Therm-O-Disc, Hartman Electric, Emmil’s Pizza, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and AVI Foodsystems.
Shirley and David had just moved back to Mansfield in June 2024 after living in Florida for 20 years. She was a great cook and baker.
She is survived by her son, David (Emily) Burggraf of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Karlie, Claudio, Kylie and Jaylen of Las Vegas; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Emi of Las Vegas; brother, Richard Emmil of Clermont, FL; and sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Frank Burton.
Honoring Shirley’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
