

Bobby Ray Hall, 86, of Winter Park passed away on July 22, 2015 at Florida Hospital Orlando. Born to Vera and Leonard Broughton Hall of High Point, North Carolina on Nov. 12, 1928, Bobby Ray and his brother and three sisters grew up in Hartwell, GA. On Sept. 4, 1947, Ray joined the United States Army, where he served as First Sergeant during the Korean War stationed in Puerto Rico. He then served in the Reserves for 18 years.
On May 5, 1952, he married Martha Mae Pass in Atlanta, Georgia. They made their home in Georgia and spent the next 42 years together until her death in 1994. Ray joined the US Forestry Service in Atlanta as a computer programmer where he wrote programs and serviced computers for 38 years. In 1989, Martha and Ray bought a condominium in Winter Park and began sharing their residency between Florida and Georgia.
In 1995, Ray met Rita Blankenhorn and spent the next 20 years with her traveling, socializing and visiting with family and friends. Ray also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and attending social events at the American Legion and the Elks Club.
Ray was a life member of both the American Legion Pine Castle Post 286 and the Veterans Club in Casselberry, FL. He was also a member of the Elks Club in Winter Garden, FL.
Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Mae Hall, brother, Leonard Broughton Hall, Jr. and sister, Betty Rose Hennig. He is survived by a sister, Barbara Pruitt and brother-in-law, Harold Pruitt of Anderson, SC; sister, Beverly Jo Hall of Port St. Lucie, FL; companion, Rita Blankenhorn of Orlando, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Aug. 22, 2015 at 11 am at The Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta, GA, 30310.
