Brian Neal McLaughlin, beloved son of Michael and Sandy McLaughlin of DeBary, Florida, passed away unexpectedly from a massive heart attack early July 28th, 2016. Some would say his heart just grew beyond capacity.
Brian had three passions in life: his family, his friends, and his work. During his career, Brian had the opportunity to work with Delta Airlines, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, and CARMAX. It was through these associations that he met and worked alongside many very talented individuals. Most would agree that Brian always made dull moments alive with laughter and joy. Brian was a rich man, not from materialistic things, but because he was loved by so many.
Brian is survived by Michael and Sandy McLaughlin (parents), Jennifer (sister) and Chris Autorino (brother in law), Wyatt Eagan and Zachary Autorino (nephews), 3uncles, 2 aunts, and many adoring cousins. Preceded in death by Stanley and Dorothy Nation (grandparents), James and Virginia McLaughlin (grandparents), Beverly Monnin (aunt), and Christopher Bechtold (cousin).
It is the belief of the family that life does not end here. They know that Brian is living in everlasting peace alongside Jesus Christ. While grieving his loss, they find hope that they will see him again.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made to a scholarship, being created in his name: The Brian Neal McLaughlin, Excellence in Customer Service Scholarship Fund. If you would like to honor Brian, in this way, please send checks to Michael McLaughlin, 23 Hollow Pine Drive, DeBary, FL. 32713. Please make sure to include BNM Scholarship Fund in the memo line. The family will be turning all money over to an investment management firm that will allow Brian’s commitment to serving others to live on for years to come.
The family would like to extend an invitation to meet at “his happy place” on Friday, August 12th promptly at 7:00 PM in Winterhaven Park, 4589 South Atlantic Avenue, Ponce Inlet, FL 32127. Beach attire, flip flops welcome.
Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5
