Catherine "Kitty" Lapura

Mrs. Lapura was born on November 18, 1937 in Washington, DC to the late Joseph Patrick and Frances Brannon. She married Eugene Lapura on February 21, 1957. She will be remembered for loving and caring for her family especially her children, and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Namma; daughter, Eugenia Lapura; son, Conrad Lapura; brother, Joseph Brannon; nephew David Brannon, son in laws, Shawn Michael and Michael Herlihy; brother in laws, Bernie Kurek and Danny Halwick, and sister in law, Shirley Ronald.

She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene Lapura; two daughters, Kathleen McKissack (Jeff), Karen Lapura, adopted daughters, Savannah, Maria, and Cheyenne Lapura; six great grandchildren, Malachi Lapura, Conrad Hamlin, Israel Lapura Hamlin, Gabriella Torres, Emma Lapura, and Gabriel Lapura.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Father Frank Cerrio officiating. The family will receive friends after the Mass from 11:30 – 3:30 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 2:30 pm on Monday, August 21, 2023.
