

Charles O. Ball Jr., fondly known as "Chuck," of Orange City, Florida, passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Montgomery, West Virginia, on February 27, 1947, he was the son of Charles O. Ball Sr. and Bessie Mae Davis.
Chuck graduated from Gauley Bridge High School and went on to dedicate 30 years of his career to Flowers Bakeries. In his early years, he also worked at Daytona Chuckwagon, where he forged lasting friendships.
On October 16, 1994, Chuck married the love of his life, Diane M. Croteau Cheney, and together they built a warm and loving family. He is survived by his wife, Diane, and his children: Casey Lee Ball (Max Geragosian) of North Carolina, Jeannette (Marvin) Ramos of Florida, and Lynn M. Cheney (Barry Brayton). Chuck was a proud grandfather to Damien Croteau, Jayden Cheney, and Carolyna Cheney. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Barbara Bragg, of North Carolina.
Chuck had a passion for NASCAR racing and was an avid supporter of West Virginia Mountaineers basketball and football. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he cherished sharing that passion with his family and friends.
A visitation for Charles will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A funeral service will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a committal service occurring from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
Chuck's warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and dedication to family will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
