

Cory was born April 1, 1991 in Tampa, FL. He graduated from Deland High School class of 2010 where he played football, was on the track and field team and was a member of the ROTC program for all 4 years. He attended US Army basic training at Fort Jackson, SC & AIT training at Fort Gordon, GA. Cory was a 25Q Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator Maintainer stationed at Fort Drum, NY with the 10th Mountain Division Charlie Co 3rd Brigade Special Troop Battalion. He recently returned from a 15 month tour in Kandahar, Afghanistan FOB Hawz-E-Mudad in March 2012. Cory enjoyed boating, hunting, four wheeling, snowboarding, fishing and driving his mustang. Cory enjoyed life to its fullest every moment. He loved his family and friends dearly and would do anything for them.
He always put a smile on everyone’s face with his smile that would light up the room. He gave the best hugs and gave them freely. He could know you for 5 minutes or 5 years and love you just the same. He will be deeply missed by many but forever in our hearts.
Cory is survived by his father Mark & Jodi Eiland; mother Rosalind Eiland; siblings, Candice & Charlie Eiland-Seig, Justin Lopesilvero, Samantha Esarey, Hayden Flanders and Ethan Flanders; niece Paige and nephew Colton; paternal grandfather David & Donna Eiland, paternal grandmother: Mary Jo & Steve Grieninger, Maternal Grandparents Roger & Rosemarie Flanders, Brenda J. Lopesilvero, Gil Lopesilvero; Godfather Charlie Walsh & Godmother Nia Zwak-Ray ; Aunts Cynthia Adorno, Tricia Eiland and Kristy Youngers; Uncles Justin Eiland and Jason Lopesilvero; Cousins Nathan Youngers, Amber Youngers, Andrew Diley, Kyleigh Adorno, Amber & Nick Hills and Maddox Hills.
