

Mrs. Galvan was born on June 28, 1930 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Juan Solis and Elena Suarez. She worked as a coordinator/administrator for Home Health Care in The Bronx, New York moving to Florida in the mid 1990's. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church of Deltona. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering.
She is survived by three sons, Richard A. (Peggy) Pena, Robert A. Pena and Raymond B. (Jeanne) Pena; a daughter, Doris M. Denis; a son-in-law, Howard Hirsch; a daughter-in-law, Diane Pena; ten grandchildren, Jason Denis, Michael Denis, Jennifer Trabucco, Laura Pena, Robert Pena, Richard Pena, Raymond Pena, Ryan Pena, Sonia Tembeck and Steven Pena; three great-grandchildren, Jaden and Skyler Denis and John Michael Tembeck.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 11th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, FL, PH: 386-775-4260. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12th at 10 am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximillian Street, Deltona with Father Frank Cerio officiating. Entombment will immediately follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
