He was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on July 25, 1950. Rev. Dr. Aponte graduated from the Institute of Theological Education where he received his Doctorate degree.
On June 1st, 1974, he married Norma Rivera Serrano.
Rev. Dr. Efrain Rivera Aponte was survived by his wife; Norma, sons; Efrain Rivera Jr., Daniel Rivera, daughter in law; Shannon Rivera, and grandchildren; Matthew Rivera, Gabriella Rivera and Caleb Rivera.
A visitation for Efrain will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A committal service will occur Monday, December 23, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Deltona Memorial Gardens, Orange City, FL 32763.
