Tio Gil we miss you so much down here! I cant believe it’s been so long since I got to last speak with you and so much has happened since.. But I know you’re in heaven eating rice with hot sauce playing pool with the family partying and having a good time watching over our big family down here. I hope you all are proud of us we miss you guys dearly 😢 please watch over us until we get to see you again 

Happy Birthday, Gil!  I miss you so much.  I think about you all the time.  This year you became a grandfather to Gabriel, and your goddaughter and niece gave birth to Jayda on News Year Day.   I was thinking about playing pool with you in Daisey’s house.  We had so much fun and I have the pictures to prove it.  I love you and will always hold you close in my heart.

My condolence to the Rivera Family, it was  a great please to take care Mr. Rivera and to have luck to know such a nice man, thru many conversations he showed he was a family man and his family responded, I know he was apreciative of everything everyone did for him, may GOD bless his soul. I remember you as a baby starting to walk. Your mother and I were best friends more like sisters taking care of our kids together. I also remember you playing with Linda and Evelyn,you guys were like brother and sisters always would do everything together. I have so many childhood memories with our little gang you,me,Linda and Margie. One of my memories were of you running so fast and me holding your hand trying to keep up with you, but I would fall and you would laugh at me. And now I know your running fast and free again. In memory of my beloved brother, Gil.  I still can’t believe you are gone but I know you are now at peace, no longer suffering and taking long deep breaths.  I imagined you running into Mami’s arms with your brothers William and Robert at each of her side and with your niece Lizette all in a big family bear hug.  I’m home now after a long, painful and exhausting week.  My memories of the great times we shared kept me going. You were a wonderful brother to me, someone I could always depend on.  No matter how many miles came between us, we were in constant contact.  I knew if I was ever in need, you would be there for me as you knew I was always there for you.  And even though you put on that tough military persona, your love for us always shined threw and that light let us know you loved us as much as we loved you. Tio gil its been tough time these last couple of years I wish i would have had more time to get to know you and you know me and my family but i do cherish the time that we did see and speak to eachother. So tell dad i miss him and me and ryan will carry the RIVERA last name on for you guys. May you rest in peace

 The only way i can talk to you is writting it down so you know that im still thinking about you i have put your picture beside the bed and i look at it all the time. Yes i am having a hard time that you are really gone. When i close my eyes i see you everyday looking at me and kymber. Sorry this is so late, however I've been attempting to find out IF it were true that Gil had passed. Although I had only known him a short time as a patient(pulmonary office), it was long enough to know that he was a kind and loving family man, a strong man both spiritually and emotionally. As a former Navy Hospital Corpsman myself, there were things and stories that we could share and understand. 
Shipmate, here's wishing you Godspeed, fair winds and following seas. CORPSMAN UP!!!!

Tio Gil! I love you and I'm sorry you had to go at a pretty young age. I think what I will remember most about you are the times you would take me to the zoo every morning to volenteer a couple summers ago. It's one of the few times we really connected but even though the the quanity of time we spent together was small, the quality is what really matters. May you rest in peace and take as many deep breaths and fishing trips you want in heaven. You will always be remembered.

 I want to send our deepest heartfelt thaughts and prayers to you both at this time.. I also want to let the rest of the family know that we are thinking of them. 

I am so greatful that we had gotten to meet "grandpa" because he was such a great man... We (Mariah, Jakob and myself) didn't know him as long as other people, however he opened up his home to us each and eveyday that we were there. He was so great with my "mariah and jakob" he treated them like they were his own, especially my Mariah..

We think of him each and everyday.. I want you both to know that we love you both very much. I know from seeing it in person, he loved you both, and in return you both loved him very much.

Being with him each and everyday like you both were was a gift.. Always remember that he will walk with you from this moment on.. He will be your guiding light through each and everyday of your lives..
