Glen attended Volusia County public schools, where he proudly played football as a “Bulldog” at DeLand High School. His early years reflected his strong work ethic, teamwork, and dedication—qualities that would remain with him throughout his life.
Following his graduation, Glen enlisted in the United States Army, honorably serving his country for 20 years. His military service was a source of great pride, and he carried the values of duty, discipline, and loyalty with him long after his service concluded.
Glen shared 42 years of love and happiness with his devoted wife, Phyllis. Their marriage was a true partnership built on love, laughter, and commitment. He affectionately referred to her as his “Pooh,” a reflection of the deep bond they shared.
Glen will be remembered for his service to his country, his love for his family, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His legacy of dedication, love, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Phyllis E. Goodwin; his sons, Eric Jones and Aaron Williams; his daughters, Dominique Goodwin Warren and Tasha Goodwin Cooper; and his daughter-in-law, Rhonda Williams. He is also survived by his brothers, Allie Goodwin, Jr. and Samuel Goodwin; his sisters, Alice Goodwin and Marion Goodwin Porter.
