

Helen Frances Pizzo, 92, of Orange City, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. Born on February 2, 1934, in New York, New York, Helen lived a life centered on family, compassion, and simple joys that brought warmth to everyone around her.
Helen devoted much of her career to nursing, serving faithfully at St. Albans Navy Hospital. Her caring spirit and gentle nature made a lasting impact on the many lives she touched throughout her years of service.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Salvatore J. Pizzo, who passed away in 2010. Together they shared many loving years devoted to their family and one another.
Helen had a passion for baking, knitting, crocheting, and cruising. She especially enjoyed creating handmade items for those she loved and bringing family together through her cooking and caring heart.
She is survived by her sons, Roger Pizzo and his wife Joanne, and John Pizzo and his wife Marianne. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Pizzo, Laura Pizzo, Michelle Grover, Jennyfer Bagnall, and John Charles Pizzo; as well as four great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Helen will be remembered for her kindness, strength, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of compassion and warmth will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, US, on May 31, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
