

James "Jim" Crawford age 85, of DeMotte, IN passed away on Friday May 6, 2011 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point, IN. He was born on October 23, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Agnes (Pearson) Crawford, both deceased.
On November 13, 1948 he married Beatrice "Jean" Plum who survives. He was an electrician at US Steel, South Works for 45 years, where he was a member of Steel Workers Union. Jim was a US Navy Veteran and member of DeMotte United Methodist Church. Jim also served as Elder and Deacon at Missionary Alliance Church, Deltona, FLA and Glenwood Bible Church, Glenwood, IL. Jim was a gifted gardener and especially loved growing a variety of roses. His greatest loves were his family and serving the LORD thru the church. He was always front and center in the lives of his family and will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Crawford and two nephews Fred and Randy Lockeman
Friends may call on Tuesday May 10, 2011 from 2-6:30 PM at DeMotte United Methodist Church, DeMotte, IN with a Funeral service at 6:30 PM with Pastor Mark Fernhough officiating. Interment will be at Deltona Memorial Cemetery, Deltona, FLA.

A grave side service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Deltona Memorial Cemetery Orange City, FL with Pastor Ron Smith officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte, IN.
