Jose Rodriguez

Affectionately known as "Pepe" and "Gallego"—a tribute to his parents' roots in Galicia, Spain—Jose was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He married the love of his life, Angeles Garcia Hernandez, on July 20, 1957, and they shared many wonderful years together until her passing. He built a successful career as a skilled furniture reupholsterer and refinisher at Green Baun Bros. in Paterson, New Jersey, where his craftsmanship was admired by many.

Jose is survived by his children, Iliana Ortiz and Jose Rodriguez Jr.; his beloved grandchildren, Gilberto and Luis Ortiz, Angel and David Ramos, Michelle Rodriguez, and Natasha Rodriguez. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Delia Iglesias. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Xiomara Rodriguez, as well as his siblings, Francisco Rodriguez, Rodolfo Rodriguez, Gladiz Rodriguez, and Emilia Garcia.

Family and friends are invited to honor Jose’s life at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a committal service at Deltona Memorial Gardens.

Jose’s love, dedication, and hard work will always be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
