

He was born on November 4, 1932 in Sioux Falls, SD. His family moved to Deland in 1949, where he graduated from Deland High School, Deland, FL. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rose and Ernest Benson, his son, Kenneth Scott Benson and beloved wife, Edna Parker Benson.
Ken is survived by his daughter, April and Don Clark, his son, Brenton (Brent) and Victoria, his sister, Lorraine (Larry) Wagner, his grandchildren Jared Grason, Brian Grason, Kristen Raboin, Kolton Benson, Audrey Benson, Andrew Benson, Jeremy Clark, Jason Clark, Mickie Clark and great-grandchildren Robbie, Tristan, Dylan, Xzavier, Ethan, Maggie, Autumn and Kennedy. He is also survived by many “step” grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Ken served in the US Army during the Korean War as a cartographer. He married his true love on January 20th, 1957 at College Park Methodist Church in Orlando, FL. They were married 61 ½ years when she passed. He is now reunited with her and all his dear ones that have gone before.
To meet him was to love him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh! He was a very special man that served others with a generous heart and loved his Lord and Savior above all.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deltona Memorial Funeral Home in Deltona, Florida.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6th at 11am at the First United Methodist Church in Deland in the education building.
