Lorraine Carol Adams

Born on January 27, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, Lorraine was a proud graduate of Fenger High School. On February 8, 1964, she married the love of her life, Gary Adams, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years until his passing in 2006.

Lorraine dedicated more than 30 years of her professional life as an Insurance Claims Adjuster, working with both Prudential and Benesight. In retirement, she continued serving her community with compassion and purpose, volunteering with Hospice for 13 years.

Her heart was devoted to her family, and she cherished time spent traveling, being in nature, and, of course, indulging in a bit of shopping.

Lorraine is survived by her loving son, Gordon Adams, and his wife, Marie McDaniel; her beloved grandchildren, Alison Adams of Altamonte Springs, FL, and Joshua Gregor of Hammond, IN; and her dear brother, Eugene Derow of Scottsdale, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Adams; her daughter, Debbie Adams; and her grandson, Sean Adams.

Lorraine’s warmth, strength, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service for Lorraine will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
