Deltona, FL age 83, died on September 25, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie; children, Michael (Kim) of Endicott, NY, Joanne (David) Raihl of DeLand, FL and Laura (Keith) Moyer of Orange City, FL; grandchildren, Denise Scott, Michelle LoSapio, Anthony LoSapio, Kayla Moyer and Kale Moyer. Mike was an Army veteran, worked for Guerriero Paving in NJ, moved to Florida and opened and operated M&M Deli on 15A in DeLand for 7 years. He then worked for Mid Florida Air Conditioning in DeBary until he was 81. He was a member and usher of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Deltona and was president of Unico National in Madison, NY. He served as president of the Sons of Italy, Mike Accardi Lodge in Deltona where he was a charter member. Mike also served as a State Trustee and State Delegate for the Sons of Italy of FL.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd. Orange City, PH: 386-775-4260. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximillian St., Deltona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
