He left us peacefully on 17 March 2017 in Deltona, Florida at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Leticia; son William (Carolyn) Ortiz; daughters Luz (Nelson Colon) Ortiz, Ivonne (Justin) Grimm and Cynthia (Erin) Ortiz-Murphy; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Andolina “Norma” Rosario; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Jesus Fuentes and Edwardo Martinez and his sister Maria Guevara. Miguel served in the Army during Korea; he retired from General Motors-Rochester Products Division. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Church in Rochester, NY and a member of the U.A.W. Miguel enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and cooking.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday March 22nd 5-8 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 10 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximillian Street, Deltona.
