

An amazing husband, father, step-father, grandfather, and uncle, passed from this life on February 16, 2012. He was 61 years young. Born May 4, 1950 in Palo Alto, California, to parents Robert Clayton Porter and Glennis Marie (Heinzman) Porter. His parents preceded him in death, as well as his brother, Terry Porter (Nancy) Nevada, and his step-daughter LeeAnn Kimber (Florida). He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Bonnie (Halladay-Kimber) Porter, three daughters, Leslie Porter Florida, Christine Glidden (Chad) Colorado, and Shannon Gonzales Colorado, and son, Brad Porter (Lisa) Washington, a step-son, Robert Kimber Colorado, a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Dean Kimber Colorado. He was blessed with a blended family of six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and two great-grandsons; a sister, Peggy McDannold (Bradd) California, a brother, Steve Porter California; a very special nephew, Thomas (T.J) Filler South Dakota, sister-in-law, Claire Riggles Feistner (Cory) South Dakota, brother-in-law, Curtis Riggles Oregon, brother-in-law, Mark Riggles Nevada, brother-in-law, Jamie Riggles Montana, brother-in-law, Bill Riggles (Penny) Montana and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His little Chihuahua, Izzy, misses her daddy very much.
Bob recently celebrated his 25 year anniversary with Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL. His occupation was Staff Engineer in the Integration and Test Engineering Department. He was a dedicated employee who received numerous recognition awards for outstanding support. Bob’s great sense of humor and caring for others brought him an abundance of friends, who will hold his memory in their hearts forever. There are many words that describe Bob, loving, kind, helpful, giving, forgiving, funny, quick witted, fun-loving and intelligent. He could build anything and fix anything. He truly was a man of integrity. There will never be another Bob Porter. He will be missed by many.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm EST at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL. There will be a celebration to honor Bob immediately following the service.
