

Born July 31st 1936 in Buckingham county Virginia, Shirley grew up enveloped in the love and warmth of her family. Shirley was nourished with a sense of good nature, charity and care, qualities that both defined her character as much as they were shared and instilled in her own children and grandchildren.
Shirley married her devoted husband, Robert Dekle, on November 22 1978. Shirley and Bob would together build a home immersed in love where they shared many happy years and doted on their grandchildren.
Ever devoted to her family, Shirley had a passion for cooking, crafts and creating a home and atmosphere that reflected the joy and love in her heart. She could always be depended on in good times or bad, taking care of her children and grandchildren, planning and organizing events and birthday parties or just being a tender ear and shoulder to lean on, there was no end to her selflessness and compassion for others.
Her kindness, generosity and spirit are cherished and live on in the lives she touched so deeply.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Dekle; her parents, Robert and Marion Pearce; her siblings, Bobby and Fred Pearce, Marion Sue Dunn, and Sandra Jo Bradley.
She is survived by her loving children: Sharon Reaves and her husband Lance, Susan Zizzo, Scott Fine and his wife Michele, and Michael Fine and his wife Katrina.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Adam Reaves and his wife Nadia, Sara Parker and her husband Jason, Michael Arnold, Britany and Christian Fine, and Abigail, Madelyn and Grace Fine. Her great-grandchildren - Rhett and Reave Parker, Page and Rhylee Arnold, and Maxwell Fine. She is also lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 1:00PM at Deltona Memorial, where family and friends will gather to honor a life well lived and a heart deeply loved.
Shirley Ann Dekle lived a life filled with faith, love, family, and charity; values and traits she gifted to those who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer with us in flesh, her spirit forever lives on in the lives she touched.
