Shirley Ann Wade , 88, Deltona, Florida died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Oakwood Garden Nursing Home, DeLand, Florida. Shirley was born March 17,1924 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Gustav and Minnie Scherer Sasse. She was a graduate of Battle Creek High School, Battle Creek, Nebraska .Shirley married the love of her life , George D. " Bus" Wade on March 23, 1941. During her life, she had been a teacher and retired as a catalog adjustments clerk for Montgomery-Ward Catalog Sales. She and her husband, Bus, lived in Florida from 1992 till 2007, when they moved to Claremore, Oklahoma, then moved back to Deltona, Florida in 2009. Shirley enjoyed knitting and painting. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, George D. " Bus" Wade; 1 son, James W. Wade of Claremore, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Judith A. Spinney of Chandler, Arizona and Jean Patterson of Deltona, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, Florida. Inurnment will immediately follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens.
