Obituario de Stacey Diane Harris
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Deltona Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens

Stacey Diane (Smith) Harris, age 49, of Sanford, Florida, passed away June 21, 2024. She was born December 5, 1974, in Sanford, Florida, and was the 1st of 2 children, born to Larry and Diane (Miller) Smith. Stacey spent her childhood years growing up in Sanford, and moved to Deltona in 1997, where she lived for the rest of her life.

Stacey spent most of her life volunteering and serving in Sunday school and church daycares and taught 2nd grade in a private Christian school for over 15 years. She left teaching to spend time raising and pouring the love of God into her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren at home. Stacey married the love of her life, Dwayne Harris, on May 6, 1994. Stacey and Dwayne Harris had 3 children together, and recently celebrated a wonderful 30 years of marriage. Stacey’s primary focus in life was loving her family and serving the Lord. She attended the Sanford Church of God for most of her life and served on staff alongside her beloved husband as associate pastors. Stacey and Dwayne led missions’ trips in Guatemala where they provided food distribution, Bibles, and saw over 3,000 individuals accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Stacey had a passion for praying with others and was an intercessor. She has been faithfully attending City Sanctuary Church in Deland Florida alongside her family for over 13 years. Stacey battled cancer for the last 10 months and remained committed to God through it all. She continued to lead others to Christ even in her final moments and wanted her story and testimony made known. Her desire was to see people impacted and challenged in their faith and one of her favorite verses was Psalm 28:7, “The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise him.” (NKJV)

Stacey is survived by her parents, Larry and Diane Smith; her beloved husband, Dwayne Harris; children Austin (Lauren) Harris, Ashley (Mason) Moyer, and Brandon Harris; and her sister Jennifer (Justin) Parshall and their children Breanna (Corey) Richardson, Kylie Parshall, and Kaleb Parshall. Stacey is also survived by four grandchildren Mackenzie Harris, Desiree Harris, Lansden Moyer, and Briella Moyer. A celebration-of-life service will be held at the City Sanctuary (401 E Taylor Rd, Deland, FL) on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11 AM. Arrangements are provided by Deltona Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Stacey's home church (City Sanctuary Church in Deland, FL) towards their renovations for generations project - https://app.securegive.com/sanctuaryonline/the-sanctuary-/donate/category
