

Tomas was born on September 18, 1930, in Puerto Rico. A man of strong character and determination, he dedicated his life to providing for his family and serving his community through his work. Tomas was a skilled barber and businessman who was self-employed for many years. Through his profession, he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of those he served.
He was married to the love of his life, Dolores Mendez, and together they shared a life rooted in family, hard work, and devotion.
Tomas is survived by his children: Tomas Zayas Jr., Albert Zayas, Lydia Delgado, Jose Zayas, and Wilson Torres. He was the proud grandfather of more than 30 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, each of whom brought him great joy. He is also survived by his siblings: Maria, Nelly, Francisca, Carmen, Milagros, and Domingo Zayas.
Tomas will be remembered for his work ethic, resilience, and the love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the generations that follow him.
Funeral services will be held on January 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, United States. The service is scheduled for January 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
