Wendell William Whited, 93, longtime resident of Edgewater was called by the Lord on Monday, February 9, 2015. Wendell was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma (McCallister) Whited, his parents, Mark & Corda Whited, his son, Eddy and his brothers, Robert and Thomas. He is survived by his sons, Frankie, W. Mark, Dwight and Timothy, his brother, Richard, and his sisters, Virginia, Lucille, and Ruth; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was a member of the Bella Vista Baptist Church of Edgewater,FL. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Wendell had a passion for gardening and fishing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL, PH: 386-775-4260. Military rites will take place at graveside.
In lieu of flowers, donations can may be made to Hospice in his honor.
