Adam Rudell Pugh entered into his Masters Kingdom on March 31, 2019 at the age of 57. The eldest of 6, he was born in Burlington, New Jersey on September 15, 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Roslyn Pugh and stepson Vernon Meuse, Sr.
Adam Pugh was a 1979 graduate of Assumption High School in Napoleonville, Louisiana. On August 31, 1982 he followed in the footsteps of his father and enlisted in the United States Army. Ascending to the rank of Sergeant First Class, he served his nation honorably as a Unit Supply Specialist officially retiring in 1999 after 17 years of dedicated faithful service.
At the conclusion of his military career he retired to Jacksonville, Florida. He would go on to apply all the transferable skills accumulated over the years in the service to the civilian sector where he would continue to work in the logistics field. During this time he also furthered his education attending the University of Phoenix ultimately receiving his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business. Never being one to remain still for any measurable amount of time he continued in his service to others by working with both the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veteran Chapter 38 of Orange Park Florida. There he worked tirelessly up until his transition helping countless veterans receive their benefits and entitlements.
He is survived by his loving children, Jill Johnson (Joshua) of Jacksonville, Florida,Theophus Pugh of Jacksonville, Florida, Curtis Pugh of Norfolk, Virginia; grandchildren, Joshalyn Henry, Jailyn Henry, Jalaisah Johnson, Josh Henry Jr.; step grandchildren Vernon Meuse Jr., Kiera Meuse, and Kalani Meuse; siblings, Alanna Pugh Baily of Houston, Texas, Derrick Pugh of Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Pugh of Atlanta, Georgia, Maria Moorehead of Durham, North Carolina and Allegra Pugh of Houston, Texas; companion Shawndolyn Walden of Jacksonville, Florida and extended family of relatives and friends.
