

Elizabeth Ann Hammock passed away suddenly on July 31st, 2012, at the very young age of 36. Elizabeth was born on July 16, 1976, in Smithtown, NY, to William and Linda Hammock. A hole in her heart was discovered when she was only 9 months old and the medical issues she endured during her life were more than any young person should have to face. She had 3 open heart surgeries, including an aortic valve replacement. She also received 2 kidney transplants-the first from her Father and the second from her brother.
She is survived by her life partner of 11 years Bingle Brown; her parents; a brother, Michael, of Richardson, Texas; and 3 sisters Erica (Gabriel Tyree) of San Diego, California; Monica (Edwin Castillo) of Washington D.C.; and Michele Harrison of Scottsville, Virginia; and nieces and nephews-Rocio, Max, Claudia and Gabriel, Jr. Elizabeth graduated from Plano East Senior High School in Plano, Texas, and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the only female on the Plano East Golf team and played on two WAC championship teams at the University of New Mexico. Elizabeth was employed by Bank of America at Regency Square.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL 32073 with Pastor Dewayne Robinson and Pastor Regina Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
