Isabel Medina

Isabel was born in Guanica, Puerto Rico in July of 1933. She came to the United States to live in New York when she was a young adult. Her passions included gardening, cooking and caring for her family. She loved to watch all sports, especially baseball and golf, and was an avid fan of TV game shows and professional wrestling.

Isabel was a loving mother to her three children, Myrna, Alberto and Sandra. She was known to all who met her as Mom or Grandma and was a person that passed no judgment and loved everyone. She enjoyed a good laugh with all that knew her. Isabel was a beautiful person with an even more beautiful heart.

Isabel was predeceased by her parents, Juan & Maria Santana, and one of her brothers, Raul Santana. She is survived by 2 siblings, Maria Esther Irizarry and Demas Santana. She is also survived by her 3 children, Myrna Luciano, Alberto Medina and Sandra Perez, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and many family members and friends. Too many to mention and she loved them all.

Isabel’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at her daughter’s, Sandra’s, home. More details to come later.
