

The former Joy Marilyn Fredrick was born on January 2, 1932 in Manitowoc, WI, daughter of the late Clarence & Lucille, (Wenndorf) Fredrick. She grew up in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1950. On June 13, 1953 Joy was married to James Snowden at First Reformed Church in Manitowo1/c. She worked as a Secretary for businesses and doctors’ offices. She enjoyed being a Volunteer for 15 years at the Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, FL , helping other people, working with and associating with her many Volunteer friends.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years James Snowden; three sons; Robert Snowden of Middleburg, FL, Thomas Snowden of Middleburg, FL, and David (Kathy) Snowden & grandson Calvin Justice of Kenmore, WA; 3 sister-in-laws; Eva Niquette of Manitowoc, Florence Busse of Manitowoc, Alice Hartlaub of Naperville, IL and one brother-in-law Terry (Marie) Snowden of Spring Grove, MN; cousins & friends. She was preceded in death by parents Clarence & Lucille Fredrick, father-in-law & mother-in-law George & Eva Snowden, aunts, uncles & cousin.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home Chapel, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL, on Saturday October 13, at 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at First Reformed United Church Of Christ, Manitowoc, WI with burial of the cremains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, WI at a later date.
