Marjorie F. Raye

Marjorie F. Raye, 97, passed away November 6, 2016. She was born August 25, 1919 in Jacksonville, Florida but grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where she had many friends and memories before eventually moving back to Jacksonville, Florida, where she married and raised a family. She was a Christian who loved her Lord and savior and truly enjoyed the beautiful hymns and music and singing them brought her great joy. She was a member of St Peter's Episcopal Church. She loved to shop and be outside in her beautiful yard and enjoy the river. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren who brought her true happiness. She is survived by her children; Sharon R. Yellott, Jadie R. Alton and Kim S. Raye. She was preceded in death of her husband J.D. Raye, a local Jacksonville attorney. She had 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at St. Peters Episcopal church, 5042 Timuquana Rd. Jacksonville, Fl 32244.
