Wood, Mr. Ray H., 87, passed away Nov. 30, 2012. Mr. Wood was a native of High Point N.C., and resided in Orange Park for many years. He was retired 1st. Sgt. from the U. S. Army serving his Country for 26 years . Following his military career, he retired from J. C. Penny. Survivors include his wife of 66 yrs., Anna S. Wood; daughter, Carolyn Hedrick; 2 sons, Houston Wood ( Linda), and Kenny Wood; grandchildren, Chad Hedrick (Michelle). Kim Rowe (Donnie), Casey Wood, Trent Wood, Travis Wood (Megan) Elizabeth Tucker (Jimmy) and William Wood; great-grandchildren, Drake Kinley, Zachary Hedrick, Leslie and Logan Rowe, Madalyn Wood, and Everleigh Wood.
The family will receive friends Tuesday(Tonight) from 6-8 pm at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park. Funeral services will be held Saturday Dec. 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm, in the Chapel of Cumby Funeral Home, High Point N.C. with burial to follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park.
