Rian Eugene Ross

Rian earned his master’s degree in Curriculum from the University of Wyoming and began his career as a 6th-grade teacher in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He later became an elementary school principal, where he was admired for his leadership and dedication to education. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to new ventures, and he remained deeply engaged in Cheyenne’s political landscape.

While living in California, Rian found success as a business coach, helping others grow and thrive. He later served as Director of Ministries and Stewardship for two Catholic churches in Denver, Colorado, before retiring to Florida. In Middleburg, he became an active member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church and a committed participant in the Republican Party of Clay County.

Rian had a passion for cooking and entertaining, especially when sharing the kitchen with his daughter-in-law. His warmth, wisdom, and sense of humor will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Kathleen Ross; his son, P.J. Ross, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Ross.

A funeral mass will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 18, 2025 at St Luke's Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068. Private burial will be held.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name can be made to St Luke's Catholic Church Parish Outreach.
