Robert Paul Bunk, 82, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away Friday, August 27, 2019. He was born on March 26, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Jacksonville, FL as a young boy with his parents George Paul & Myrtice Mildred and his brothers Duane and Donald Bunk. Robert graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, and then was married to Josephine A. Skipper in June of 1957. He made his career with the Florida Air National Guard 125th where he retired after 30 years as a Crew-Chief. He was a member of Hibernia Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed wood-working, building and spending time with his family. He loved his family and his grandsons were very special to him. Robert is very dearly loved by his family and his friends, and he will be deeply missed.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Deborah B. Mancha (Vaughn) and Lynn McGill (Chris), his grandsons, Brandon C. McGill and Andrew J. McGill, sisters-in-law, Joyce Bunk, Wanda Bunk and Betty Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his dear wife, Josephine, and his brothers, Duane Bunk and Donald Bunk.
Funeral Services for Robert will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 6, 2019, with Visitation beginning at 10:00am at Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, FL 32073. Burial services at Jacksonville Nation Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073.
