Robert “Bob” Burkhardt, 60, passed away on September 10, 2014 in Orange Park, Florida. He was born in Canton, Ohio and moved to Middleburg, Florida in 1991. He served in the United States Navy for 13 years. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Burkhardt; his father, Robert F. Burkhardt; two sons, Matthew Burkhardt and Curtis (Samantha) Burkhardt; daughter, Amanda Burkhardt; brother, James Burkhardt; sister, Debbie Brockett, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins and his best friend, Toby. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 4-6 PM at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Florida 32073. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 15, 2014 at First Alliance Church, 1132 Hamilton St., Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Pastor Paul Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery (Lane 2).
