Robert Reynold Richards

Born to Lizzie and Tommy in Wake County, N.C., Bob attended Durham High School and Campbell College. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and married Nancy Culbreth in 1961. They settled in Florida in 1976 where Bob worked as an engineer until his retirement in 1991. He loved nothing better than to spend time with his family. He could fix anything and he also enjoyed taking pictures, painting, Cardinals baseball, the Tarheels and the Seminoles.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Nancy, his children Kathie Soucy (Brian) of Fernandina Beach, FL.; Kevin Richards of Jacksonville, FL; and Tom Richards (Lora) of Burlington, NC.; his four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters Lucy Herndon, Jackie Weatherspoon and Doug Richards (Linda) of Durham, NC.; and Katherine Baron of Columbia, SC.

Services will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on October 30 at 11 AM. Please arrive 30 minutes early to cemetery and line up in lane #2. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida at http://communityhospice.com/ .
