Ruben is survived by his wife, Wanda I. Rodriguez; his daughter, Wanda Liz Daughtry; son, Ruben David Gomez and daughter in law, Miranda N. Gomez; grandchildren Kaitlyn E. Daughtry, Kyla J. Daughtry, Ryan C. Daughtry, Analisse S. Gomez, and Gabriella N. Gomez; and brothers and sisters Eddie Gomez

Moises Gomez, Dina Gomez, Migdalia Gomez, Wilfredo Gomez, and Rene Gomez; and many nieces, cousins and nephews.

A visitation for Ruben will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073. A funeral service will occur on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A committal service will follow on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
