Sachiko McKenzie, 83, passed away March 12, 2017. She was born October 27, 1933 in Hokkaido, Japan and resided in Middleburg, Florida. She is survived by numerous family members including, 5 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 sister-in-law. She is also survived by her daughters; Kimberly (Harold) Wimer and Suzanne (Theodore) Arrick, and 3 grandchildren; Sasha (Matthew) Kidney, Nicholas Allen Arrick and Joshua William Arrick and preceded in death by her husband; James Allen McKenzie Jr. Sachiko worked at Western Electric and retired from General Motors. As a woman of God, she was the glue that held her family together. She loved to garden, cook, travel, and always tried new adventures. A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday and funeral service at 11:30 AM with 1 hour prior visitation Thursday, March 16, 2017, at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Florida 32073. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Crews. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM graveside services at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida.
