I was a teenager just getting serious playing golf. It was my Uncle Jerry who took me out to play Cog Hill's famous Dubsdread. It was very expensive even back in the early 80s. After hitting into the ruff on the first hole he found $50 looking for his golf ball, the cost of the green fee. Amazing.... After a memorable day of golf we ended up having some lunch at Red Lobster. These were places I would have never have imagined ever going too. For that I am thankful . Rest in Peace Uncle Jerry.

I was so saddened to hear about Gerry. I grew up with him and his whole family. His mom and mine were best friends since they were teenagers. I have many wonderful memories of our family picnics, going to carnivals, playing ball in his front yard. His sister Leanne and I are still very close. She's always been like my little sister. Gerry was always so much fun. He adored his boys and his family.

I wish you all peace at this time. Please know that others are also feeling your loss and your pain. He truely was a one of a kind guy, and he will be missed by many.

A relationship between daughter and stepfather is always a complicated one, but ours was not. You're the father I needed
and the papa my kids needed .
There is never an easy way to say goodbye to someone you love.
