Lucia J. Erkert, 95, of Orland Park, IL passed away on July 4, 2021. Mrs. Erkert was born on December 27,1925 in Chicago to William I. and Kathryn J. Jones who both preceded her in death. She was a graduate of MacMurray College in 1946. She married Richard C. Erkert on September 17, 1950. They had 3 children. Lucia was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her children Richard and Raima Erkert, Kathi and Skip Rozum, and Randy and Pam Erkert. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and was preceded in death by her grand-daughter Kristin Rozum.
A visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 W. 159th Street, Tinley Park on Friday July 9, 2021 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with a funeral service to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lucia's name to Salvation Army and Trinity Lutheran Church Good Samaritan Fund, or you local Humane Society.
