He was born in Camilla, Georgia on October 31,1938.
Linwood graduated from Forest Lake Academy. He was married to Wanda Greer Jones on October 4, 1977. Linwood was employed at The Orlando Sentinel.
Linwood had a passion for fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Jones; father, James Jones; and brother, Bobby Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; brother, Darryl (Brenda); daughters, Michelle (Jack) Wright, and Stephanie Pomeroy; grandchildren, Brittany(Jonathan) DeJesus, Katelyn Cropp (Luke), and Conner Pomeroy; and great-grandchildren, Aria Cropp and Giovani DeJesus.
A Graveside Service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789, US, on April 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
