Arlene E Snyder

Arlene was born on September 1, 1925, the fifth of seven children of Harvey K. Horne and Cora M. (Ahlum) Horne in Richlandtown, Pennsylvania. A 1943 graduate of Quakertown High School, Arlene was active in the band and orchestra. On December 1, 1945, she married Gilbert William (Bill) Snyder. They made their home in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where they raised their three children, Elaine, Phillip and Jane. Arlene and Bill retired to Florida in 1982 where she resided until moving to Clinton, Mississippi in 2004 to be near her son and his family. In 2008 Arlene moved to Fort Worth, Texas to be close to her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, four older sisters, Mary, Dorothy, Kathryn, Becky, and her great-grandson Brenham, and joins them in God's loving embrace in Heaven. Survivors include her sister Phyllis Ackerman, brother Harvey J. Horne, children and their spouses, Elaine Khan of Fort Worth, Texas, Phillip Snyder of Louisville, Kentucky, and Jane Stachow of Arlington, Texas, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12 from 9:30 – 10 AM with service to follow at 10 AM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Ivanhoe Chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL.
