Arturo Michelena Franceschi

He was born November 10, 1929 in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela to the late Catala Franceschi de Michelena and Arturo Michelena.

While he was in training to become a Physician Pathologist, Arturo met his beloved wife, Patricia, during his residency in the U.S.; and, they went on to build a beautiful family together in Venezuela. He achieved his professional medical goals, and want on to serve his community with great care, soon adding teaching to his life, becoming a college professor. And this incredible man still brimmed with energy for learning: studying astronomy, researching various topics, building and working with wood, playing the cuatro …. His dear children always felt loved and close to him, their favorite memories from every Sunday when he would take them to the amusement park all day with many more of their friends from the neighborhood. Arturo loved life and lived it entirely, enjoying and inspiring all of those in it with him!

He was preceded in death by his dear parents, and beloved wife Patricia Hoge de Michelena.

Arturo is survived by his children: Judy M. Moudy (Fred S. Moudy), Miguel Arturo Michelena (Adriana Viso de Michelena), Patty M. Santelli (Francisco Santelli) and Vanessa Michelena Walton; his Grandchildren: Cristina Santelli, Valentina Michelena, Francisco Santelli, Miguel Michelena, Carlos E. Santelli, Eduardo Michelena and Dylan P. Moudy; and, his great grandchildren: Carter and Ella Walton, Enzo and Remi Mijares.

Arturo’s Service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 3:00pm at Family Funeral Care in Orlando, Florida.
